“We’d been hearing good things from other contractors in the area about the Ozinga family businesses. When we initially met with Ozinga, we found them to be experienced, knowledgeable and professional. Just as important, they’ve just about seen it all when it comes to processing, crushing, reclamation and yard layout. Our relationship with Ozinga has been a great partnership. When they say they’ll do something, they follow through. When they run into challenges, they communicate well and are great problem-solvers. We’ve been very glad to have them as a partner for this project.”

President of Mid-States Concrete Industries

Featured Project

Mid-States Concrete Industries was interested in finding a company that could not only help the company become even more sustainable, but that could also become a long-term partner to help Mid-States Concrete Industries plan for the future. This partner would be responsible for reducing waste, gaining efficiencies with and processing usable recycled concrete aggregate for on-site or retail use, and creating a future recycle and processing site.

After listening to Mid-States’ needs and requirements, Ozinga Materials & Logistics thoroughly researched the project and determined the best course of action to help Mid-States reach their goals. In just under one year, Ozinga has reclaimed an estimated 25,000 yards of material and 2.5 acres, while also developing a long-term recycle operation that has resulted in a substantial cost savings. Along with waste reduction, we have processed the pre-cast into an aggregate material that can be used for Mid-States’ future development or for private sales.
